How boring would the Bible be if all the stories had perfect beginnings and endings?!
So many times we see mention of 'do not be discouraged or dismayed' and yet these words are often times underlooked. Miracles or manifestations are only highly praised when things seems to suck and there seems like there's no human way out.
Think about Moses, his story would not be worthy of mentioning if he had everything going for him just the way he liked it. There was the miraculous intervention of God whose infinite wisdom knew what and how to pan things out for victory. And think about Daniel, he wouldn't be any inspiration if he didn't have that near death experience with the lions.
This, for me, fits some puzzle pieces together. It is through the fire, that trust with God is built and faith is built. If we all had perfect lives, we honestly would have no need for a higher source of power or wisdom to help us navigate. This is what truly builds our character.
I witnessed my grandmother live a very humble also known as poor life. She had little money to buy food and when she had, she freely distributed amongst my cousins and myself on our visits to her home. I remember her sharing a soda bottle with just a little under 8oz of drink with myself and cousins, probably 4 of us. At the end, we got communion portions lol.
When I look back, I think about how she truly understood the concept of living by God's grace. It is also akin to the children of Israel in the wilderness.
Our lives are more interesting when we have a tale to tell: a tale that stirs conviction in the hearts of others to trust in the invisible force of God that fills and moves all.
In essence, whatever you're going through, know that it will one day be a story of hope for another. It also is not the end of the chapter, but only the chapter that talks about the Daniel in the lion's den experience. The chapter that builds endurance and makes you a pillar of faith.
Your life story is worth more a dime to yourself and others if there's something that reveals how God miraculously intervened to give you a victory.
What is one story you have to share that you think will be of inspiration to others. Please we'll be happy to hear if you share with us in the comments.
